The unnatural of natural cosmetics

What's all the hype about 'natural' cosmetics?

Is the 'natural' the re-pear and the 'synthetic' toxic? Is everything 'natural' as 'natural' as they make it out to be?

Today we go au naturel; direct, bare-chested and head-on with and against 'natural cosmetics'

What is natural?

you ask yourself, while you nail your blue pupil into my pupil

In terms of creams, when people talk about 'natural cosmetics' they may be referring to:

  • To creams made with ingredients from natural origin that come directly from plants 🌱, animals 🐌 or minerals 🪨
  • To manufacturing processes… 'simple'. To put it simply; It is only 'okay' to crush, press or distill ingredients... but it is not 'natural' to use the rest of the laboratory's 'appliances' to 'cook' a cosmetic recipe.

On the other hand, 'synthetic' is everything that is born or manufactured in a laboratory.

So far ok but be careful, Putin carries the words:

    • Because it seems that if you are natural you are synonymous with sincere, simple, folksy, familiar, normal, habitual...
      • And the group that is not 'natural' is false, artificial, strange, alien... and nobody wants to be the weird one in the class... or do they?

Your 'natural' subconscious is deceiving you; what is natural is not the re-pera

In the collective imagination, when someone hears the word 'natural', what they automatically translate is that the cream in question is safer, more ecological and effective than the alternative.

Well, we're sorry to break your bubble, but no.

        • Safer – no way
          • Natural cosmetics are VERY limited in the type of preservatives they can use and the ones they use are less effective than synthetic ones. Come on, you are more likely to have bottles full of bacteria and expiring soon.
          • Furthermore, nature itself is a brutal source of allergies: nuts, citrus fruits, pollen... and specifically the essential oils that your aunt loves and herbs are an inexhaustible source of skin reactions year after year.
          • More ecological – maybe not
            • Extracting essences in a 'natural' way has a huge environmental impact (a lot of cultivated land, a lot of water, a lot of carbon footprint, etc.) for the little that is extracted from them.
            • Taken to the extreme, there are specific crops such as Argan in Morocco or Shea butter in Africa... that are putting the biosphere and the social fabric of the regions in check (even if they disguise it as charity).
            • More effective - impossible
              • By definition, in a laboratory you control: concentration levels, temperatures, presence of organisms, etc. The 'chance' of nature... is usually the enemy of predictable results.
              • And as for results on your skin... well, look, we all know a person who prefers to cure the flu with infusions instead of medicines. Denying scientific evidence and literature is of the silly variety... but there are many of those. Human stupidity is often more dangerous than artificial intelligence

Reclaiming the artificial, according to Siwon

Your little face doesn't give a damn if something comes from the garden or from a test tube, The only thing that matters to him is that they match and tilín.

Your skin likes to be cared for with ingredients that make you feel good and not allergies, and with products that give you a high when you look in the mirror and not a low when you try to translate the strange words that the label sneaks up on you.

So send your trusted naturnazi to fry asparagus.

Choose creams as you choose in love; with less prejudices and labels beforehand and more connecting with what makes you feel good.

PD: And if you want to take all these unnatural scratches down the drain and make a face that will make them want to take you to the garden 🍆…
