Our berets = our fundamentals

There are things we take for granted as 'basic'.

Without those minimums, we wouldn't have even gotten into the world of creams.

But just because they're basic doesn't mean we have to tell you about them... you're sure to find something useful.

We create (and own) our formulas from scratch

Like store brands at the supermarket, we could have called a lab, chosen some creams from their catalog, and slapped our label on them. It would have been faster, cheaper... and less fun.

To do something special, with head, heart and thought out from beginning to end, we prefer to start with a blank sheet of paper in the laboratory.

All our products are registered with the CPNP (European portal) and are cruelty-free... Because if you manufacture in Europe or Korea, you are legally obligated to do so.

We obtain registration at all security checks

Of stability

Where we 'test' creams with desert heat and polar cold to ensure they survive if you leave them on the beach sand in summer.

Challenge

Where we pit bacteria against cream to see who wins and... obviously ours crush them.

Patch

Where we test on volunteers with all types of skin whether our products cause reactions and... Nothing at all, I tell you.

Others

Hetcam for products that are placed near the eyes, sunscreen testing...

We rack our brains with what comes (and comes out) of each jar

To begin with, Europe has high formulation standards. For example, there are approximately 1,300 ingredients banned in Europe that are permitted in the USA.

Within that, we choose ingredients that have (in this order): proven results from scientific studies (street surveys don't count), safety for your skin and environmental sustainability.

If we find a 100% effective and safe ingredient that's vegan and sustainably produced… we'll use it. If not, we prefer the scientific alternative to the naturnazis'.
